Disc 5
This disc covers the years 1983 to 1999.
Throughout the 1980s, every aspect of Brian's life was controlled by the controversial Dr. Eugene Landy. Landy discouraged contact between Brian and his family, including his daughters, Carnie and Wendy Wilson.  During this time, Brian's musical ouput was sporadic at best, until the early '90s, when his wife and family intervened and managed to release Brian from Landy's dominating influence.
In 1998, around the time Brian released his Imagination album, his brother and fellow Beach Boy, Carl Wilson, died of brain cancer. After such a devastating blow, Brian pressed on, working towards reclaiming his musical legacy, both legally and creatively.
His live apperance at the Roxy in 1999 was a landmark in Brian's life, establishing him as an independent artist, seperate from The Beach Boys.
