Skiing 2000-2001
The ski season this year was absolutly incredible!  We received a record breaking 434" of snow at Smugglers Notch Resort this season, as compared to the yearly average of just 270"!!  Needless to say, skiing rocked this year!  There was almost no need to ski the back bowls because there were still untouched patches or woods in-bounds!  There were even some places I skiied where there has never been snow deep enough before!  The woods had so much snow in them, we were practically skiing through the branches since they weren't cut high enough!  The snowpack on Madonna Mtn. was nearing an estimated 10-12 feet by the end of March, with the snow still falling!  This year was definately the year for POWDER TO THE PEOPLE!!!
April 1st I decided it was time to jump off the roof into the 3 feet of snow that had piled in our yard:)  April 1st, 2001
