Mountain Biking-2005 Season
This season I have been riding in Jericho at Warrens land (Saxon Hill) and Mobb Farm; in Warren/Fayston/Waitsfield up off Sugar Run and the Camel's Hump Forest; and in Huntington at Sleepy Hollow Inn.
8-6-05-7am-Ellen, me and a bunch of others in our wedding party set out mountain biking at Sleepy Hollow Ski and Bike center the moring of our wedding.  We all had a BLAST biking down thru the beautiful trails there and most of us hopped into the pond before coming in for breakfast (we had to clean off somehow!)
9-25-05-I raced in the Vermont 50 today, its a 50 mile mountain bike race/ride to benefit Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports.  It was pretty intense!  Here are some pics from it:  First is me at the bottom of a hill near mile 42 and the last one is of an exhausted me hugging Ellen at the end! pics here
Late summer I converted my old steel Balance XR-750 into a singlespeed!  I've been slowly collecting parts and building the bike as light as possible.  So far I've only used it as a commuter bike and as a "camp" bike at the Kingdom Trails in East Burke, and its been fun!  It's definately a workout!  I look forward to taking it out on the trails this summer!

The plan is to have Ted Wojcik of Ted Wojcik bikes to remove the current rear dropouts (which are broken anyway) and replace them with some horizontal dropouts so I can have a dedicated singlespeed bike. (this plan all depends on cost!!)

The current build is:
