Image Manipulation Program -
free image editor from fans of Linux and free image editors. It offers many feature
similar to PhotoShop including layers, plug-ins, and filters. It even has a scripting
language to script the image editing process. I've tried it and I find it to be
very good. However, the user interface is a bit tricky and takes some time getting
used to. It is the PhotoShop equivalent for Linux. However, this program has been
ported to other operating systems including Windows. Hopefully, one day, this
program will be as common as PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, MGI PhotoSuite and still
be FREE. Size:13

Paint Program -
free painting, graphics creation, and graphics editor program. Included with all
versions of Windows. The Windows 98/ME/2000 version is best because it supports
gif files and jpeg files along with bitmap (bmp) files. All versions are good
because they support bitmap (bmp) files and they have tools that you can use to
edit graphics. The Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000 version has a few more tools than the
Win3.x version. If you have Windows 95 or NT and would like to have the Windows
98/ME/2000 version of Paint, you're in luck. | |
