| What is it: Connected to the pc via a USB port, it controls all the midi equipment (up to 8 ins and outs). By chosing the port on your sequencer, when data is entered, the midi device (sampler, module etc) plays. This is much easier than using a daisy chain (using midi ins and thrus) because it saves turning off midi channels on each device to prevent them all playing at the same time. A very valuable bit of kit, even though it doesnt seem to do much musically! |
