Cloud Strife is the main character of Final Fantasy 7. He is a 21 year old with a mysterious past.
Earlier in his life he worked in Shinra as a member of SOLDIER(find more on shinra).
His life is only a half truth and most of the game is about finding out about what really happened all those years ago.
With help from all his friends, he might just find what his life really was.
Barret Wallace
Name: Barret Wallace

Job: Leader of Avalanche; Father
Eyes: Brown
Strength: Very Good
Magic: Decent
Barret is the all around tough guy and leader of the Avalanche terrorist group.
Barret, though tough on the outside, does have a soft spot.
He cares for his daughter Marlene but has to be away from her often because of his constant fight for the planet.
Tifa Lockheart
Name: Tifa Lockheart
Weapon: Glove
Job: Owner/Bartender of Tifa's Seventh Heaven; Avalanche member
Eyes: Hazel
Strength: Good
Magic: Good
Tifa is a childhood friend of Cloud. She is determined and strong.
Not many things will get in her way. She studied mashal arts a few years ago and worked as a guide.
She met up with Cloud and Sephiroth when they journied to investigate the Mako reactor in the Nibleheim Mountains.
A few very interesting events happened.
Aeris Gainsborrow
Name: Aeris(Aerith) Gainsborrow
Weapon: Staff
Job: Flower Seller; Only other surviving Ancient
Eyes: Pale green
Strength: Very poor
Magic: Very good
Aeris is one of the most interesting females of the game.
This is because she is the one of the last surviving Ancients (properly known as Cetra) except for Sephiroth.
There seems to be some rivalry between Aeris and Tifa, mainly because they both seem to like Cloud a lot.
But any tension between them is pretty suttle.
She is constantly on the run from Shinra Corp. because they are searching for the promise-land
Red XIII/Nananki
Name: Nananki (Hojo named him Red XIII)
Weapon: Headress
Job: (Lab Specimen) Last survivor of his race; Protector of Cosmo Canyon
Eyes:
Strength: Okay
Magic: Good
Nananki is a rare breed indeed. His family has been the protecters of Cosmo Canyon for decades.
He is the last of his species (which has a long life span).
He has hated his father ever since the Gi Tribe attacked. He ran off somewhere leaving his mother
to defend the village from the Gi. When the party reaches Cosmo Canyon, Nananki finds the truth about his father.
Nananki was kidnapped by Shinra and used as a research specimin by Hojo. Hojo gave him the name Red XIII.
Though his appearance might be slightly frightening, he is quite kind and inteligent.
He has multipul tatoos and his tail has a flame on the end... no wonder he's so hot in Costa Del Sol!
Cait Sith
Name: Cait Sith
Weapon: Megaphone
Job: Puppet; Fortune teller
Eyes: Buttons
Strength: Good
Magic: Good
You meet Cait Sith on your first visit to Gold Saucer. He works there as a fortune teller.
He is also an animatronic puppet controled by a certain someone in Shinra.
He is also knowledgeable in a certain spot that you....fall into... soon after you meet him.
Cait sith is just fun to look at, not necissarily as a valued memeber of your fighting party.
But it's a cat ontop of a giant Mog, thats pretty cool looking.
Cid Highwind
Name: Cid Highwind
Weapon: Spear
Job: Pilot
Eyes: Blue-Grey
Strength: Very good
Magic: Good
Cid is an even bigger tough guy than Barret.
Half his sentences are spread with the words #$(&*^ or something to that extent (yes the game does senser swearing).
Cid is the FF7 Cid. There has been a Cid in every single Final Fantasy to date. He's cool but has a tendancy to lose his temper fast.
Sephiroth
Name:Sephiroth
Weapon: Masamune
Job:Ancient; Ex-SOLDIER Commander
Eyes:Mako Green
Strength: Best
Magic:Best
Sephiroth is the ultimate warrior. And is the best villan ever.
I don't want to say too much about him, because its much more fun to go through the game and learn about him.

Yuffie Kisiragi
Name: Yuffie Kisaragi
Weapon: Boomerange
Job: Materia Hunter; Ninja
Eyes: Brown
Strength: Okay
Magic: Very Good
Yuffie is a spunky 16 year old materia hunter. Quite greedy and has a not-so-nice attitude.
Every oppertunity she gets she swindles somebody, EVEN YOU! If you fight battles in the forest you may eventually run into her.
If you beat her there will be a scene afterward.
Chose the right answers and you can get her in your party. Chose the wrong ones and she steals from you.
(Hint: Act scared of her and at the end don't ask her name.)
Vincent Valentine
Name: Vincent Valentine
Weapon: Pistol; Rifle
Job:Ex-turk; Experiment
Eyes: Red
Strength: Above Good
Magic: Above Good
Vincent Valentine is an ex-turk and an amazing person. He is quite mysterious and interesting. He was experimented on by Professor Hojo.
You can find him in the Shinra Mansion at Nibleheim. Play Hojo's game (you can find it in the left room of the entrance) and open the safe.
As you make your way to the Basement,open he door next to it and talk with Vincent. Go through the other basement door.
After the cut seen, return to Vincent, he might tell you to go away. Leave, and he will catch up to you and join your party.
He has the power to change into different monsters. Be carful though, once he transforms you have no control over his actions.
