The Plight of the Modern Human
The modern human knows that to survive today you must have a stove; sandwiches from the local deli will not keep a modern human alive for very long. So our modern human gets a stove and places it in the kitchen. All is well, until this modern human discovers that you really need a refrigerator to use a stove properly. So a refrigerator is purchased, and placed next to the stove. And all seems well again, but now our modern human notices the lack of a freezer--even a small one, says our modern human. And thus the appliance stores are once again our human’s destination, and a lovely little freezer is eventually placed next to the refrigerator. And a dishwasher, because no modern human can clean all those dishes by hand. And now, with the freezer and the refrigerator, the stove, and the dishwasher, our modern human finally thinks that happiness has been achieved. Unfortunately, our modern human can no longer afford food, having maxed out several credit cards to buy these lovely items. And that, my friend, is the plight of the modern human.
