Principal Network Specialist
Responsible for the overall operation of the Network Engineering Group. The
group consisted of multiple Network Engineers. Responsible for multiple on
going projects including infrastructure design, installation and support.
Networks components include ATM, Gigabit Ethernet, and SLP backbones, Access networks using T1 and T3 connections, and security edge devices including VPN and firewall configuration. Provided pre-sales and post-sales support and service for all internetworking opportunities.
Sr. Network Engineer
Provided network design and installation support for various new construction projects, ranging in size from 40,000 square feet to 400,000 square feet. Provided on-going technical support of new and legacy networks, involving IP, DECnet, IPX, and Banyan Vines. Primary network components included Cisco 7500 series routers, Cisco Catalyst switches, Bay 5000 series hubs, and Cabletron MMAC-8 hubs.
Telecommunications Designer
Responsible for the design, construction document development, and construction and supervision of large industrial networks. Provided primary design support for two semiconductor fabrication facilities, including pathway and room sizing and placement, cable routing, outside plant layout, and network service equipment counts.
VMS Systems Manager
Responsible for smooth-running operation of VMS minicomputer systems and associated networks. Provided support for minicomputer account administration, electronic mail gateways, database design and management, personal computer network management, Ethernet network design, and WAN systems management.
