Journey to the New Isles:   <<enter pic as title: newisletitlepic>>

Part 1 : Snow Mountian

Upon hearing of new features in the latest update of There, my interest was immediately peaked. Having not been here when new islands were introduced before, I was somewhat surprised and excited. I had heard there would be no more islands, and no more new updates. Obviously this was not the case. So, grabbing my trusty doid teleport compass, and a rough map of the new isles I head out on my journey. The above picture was taken by teleporting to a space station (that by chance did not exist anymore) and looking down as I fell to the ground. It makes a great visual for knowing where these new lands are, but it does not tell the whole story as to what these new lands are all about.

The first place that seemed most interesting to me is referred to mostly as Snow Mountain. I have heard the whole island called Comet Island, but I am not sure if this is its official name. Upon first entering the Peak of Snow Mountain I was amazed by the view. I could not see much of the island because the fog was as thick as ice cream. But, the height of this megalithic mountain left me astonished. After visiting this majestic place a few times I am disturbed by the overwhelming appearance of signs, blocking the breathtaking view and destroying the natural beauty.

After catching my breath, not only from the awe, but also the high altitude, I pulled out my snowboard and began the lengthy descent down onto the rest of this mysterious island. Heading west, all I saw for a while was snow. As the mountain turned into foothills there is volcanic dirt mingling with sandy beaches, flowing into green rolling hills. In the maze of gullies and plateaus, I highly recommend bringing along a hoverboard, for there is a lot of space for doing jumps and tricks on the natural landscape.

Wondering if these hills ever ended I began to head south, seeking out the beach and ocean. Upon finding it I ended up in a bay, shaped like a crescent and I put away my hoverboard for a short break to enjoy the view.

As I was peering into the depth of the horizon, I noticed something in the distance. It looked oddly like another mountain. I turned to the east and saw Snow Mountain leering in the distance, so I knew I could not have gotten turned around. I looked over the ocean again and knew it was time to pull out my hoverboard once more and traverse the deep seas. Sure enough, there is another island, close to Snow Mountain Isle, but not actually part of it. This island was not of snow and grass as the other island though. This island I refer to as Rock Island for the mass of the land is made of a dark brown rock, covered with purple moss flowers. Towards the eastern end the rock jutted up into a large mountainous being and ended into the ocean. Upon reaching the western end though, there was another lovely view of Snow Mountain and the small bay separating me from it.

As the day began to end, and my journey along with it, the excitement I had felt at the beginning was still there. I had seen the new lands from snowy peak to rolling hill, and crescent bay to rocky isles. And yet I knew my journey was far from over, for there are still more new things for me to find and see. For, next I seek out the land known as New Kansas.
