Here's a story I've been writing. Feel free to let me know what you think.
Synopsis

During the late 5th century B.C.E. a revolution of the caste system was underway in India, lead by activists such as Buddha and Mahavira.  A young girl named Sarasvati and her twin brother are flung into the poverty and despair of the Avarna, outcastes.  After a few years of begging and slave work she joins a band of nomadic gypsies, using her story-telling and dancing to gain a better life for herself. Her journey continues along the slowly growing Silk Road to Chin, where she learns useful skills (tai chi, healing, pressure points, etc.).  She travels further including Armenia,  Jerusalem, Egypt, Greece and the land of the Amazons, and finally to the Britain of Celts and Druids. All along the way learning of different cultures and religions. She learns of higher spiritual secrets and powers, through dance and worship. She also learns self-power and how to love, overcoming the betrayal and anger of her lost childhood.
