The main thing you should know about Dante is that he isn't totally human, he is the son of a demon father (the legendary dark knight Sparda) and a human mother. He is a private investigator of the supernatural and also the hero of the tale.
Dante carries two main weapons, the first are his custom-made handguns, who he calls Ebony and Ivory because they both go well together and the other is the sword that his father gave to him, the Force Edge. |

Alastor is the devil of thunder - Dante transforms into Alastor when he releases the power of his thunder sword. Dante's abilities when transformed into Alastor improve greatly as he is able to fly in ths air inflict devastating attacks onto the helpless devils below. |

Ifrit is the devil of fire - Dante transforms into Ifrit when he releases the power of the flame gauntlets. Dante's abilities once again greatly improve and he can perform attacks using the power of one of the most powerful elements and special jump attacks. |

Trish is a mysterious woman who seems to look like Dantes mother, she went to Dante's business in the suburbs of the city in the middle of a cold night, knowing who he was, and attacked him in an attempt to find out how powerful he truely is.
Trish was astonished by what she found out Dante could do and decided to recruited him to help stop the evil Mundus from taking over the human world.
Mystery still surrounds Trish and her true purpose is unknown, is she a friend or a foe. |
