The Link - homeschooling newsletter
You can read this info-packed publication
online, or subscribe to it in snail-mail version for free. In years past, this newsletter provided
articles about a wide variety of homeschooling approaches. In recent years its focus has narrowed a lot to
a specific style and method, perhaps reflective of the family who publishes
it. Yet it remains a free publication,
and has tons of ads of homeschooling resources, which in itself is useful for
families new to homeschooling.

this list of homeschool links is one
of the most extensive on the Web. Here you will find articles about just about
every aspect of homeschooling.

Typical Course of Study
The
World Book Encyclopedia people polled school districts and developed a document
that lists, by grade level, the typical course of study for school
students. Sometimes this type of a list
is called a “scope and sequence”. This
is a basic framework for “what your child needs to know”. The World Book list is referred to by many
homeschooling books, and it’s free online!
