StarGate SG-1 is a spin-off t.v. show from the movie StarGate. Since the beginning of the series it has become immensely popular and has a multitude of die-hard fans, including yours truly. It has grown into popularity so it is natural that it has its own yearly convention appropriately named GateCon.
It is indeed one of my all time favorites. I enjoy the show so much that I have joined a couple of online gaming sites. One is a RPG site (meaning Role Playing Game) You pick a character when you join and you are that character. At this particular site you also get to participate in story lines that other members write. It is a great site if you are a fan of the show and have some time on your hands, which of course I do! The people there have great imagination and love for the show, just like me. Join us sometime if you are a fan just like us :) If you aren't thats ok too. It'll do you good to learn something more than wrestling or sitcoms you see on must see tv. >_<
A great Role Playing Site, where you become a character (either already part of the show or you may make up one as well)
and you write stories along with the other members. Great site to let your imagination run wild and have your favorite characters do something they normally wouldn't do inthe show ~_<
The members there are also a blast!!

Also a RPG site, and you also choose a character. You make up a name that includes the characters'that you want but at this site you don't write stories. At this site you take tests about the show to earn points which in turn have you advance in rank. You collect chevrons, items and trinium plus some others things along the way. The people here are also great.
