Well, I'm in Toronto now.. Can't believe it! It's so awesome!
My flight was very long but good. I only heard afterwards that they cancelled several flights to New York that day (I was flying through NY) and that an airplane crashed. Freaky!
My house is really nice and quite central. So unlike what I'm used to in Zaandam! Haroon, Sascha, Roos and I have been doing everything together. Today we explored Toronto and did some shopping. And it was Roos' bday. So we bought her a muffin and we went out for Sushi. We've also gone phone shopping and now all four of us have exactly the same mobile phone!
The weather is pretty amazingly warm. We'd been expecting to wear thick gloves, but today I didn't even have to wear my winter coat. It was like 12 degrees! Unbelievable! But it was nice, coz we could do a lot of strolling around. We all live quite centrally. Roos, Haroon and I live really close together (Roos lives in the same house), and Sascha lives on the other side of campus which is prob a 15 minute walk.
School starts on Monday, which is the weirdest thing in the world. Right now, it feels more like a holiday. Especially coz we've been speaking Dutch to each other all the time. I'm sure this holiday-feeling will disappear once we really have to study!
I will try to give a more thorough update soon, but I'm using an internet caf now. I can probably use the internet for free tomorrow or the day after, so I will definitely give u guys an update then and maybe send some pictures...
