Hey everyone, what's up??

The exchange is already nearing the end.. Not for me luckily, because I'm coming back next semester. But still, it feels sad.. Sascha is leaving early, she's going on Friday, so it really feels like this is the beginning of the end... Depressing! But still many things to look forward to! My Mom and sister are coming over two weeks from today, so it'll be really cool to show them how life is down here. Although a large part of my life consists of places where my underaged sister is not allowed to go and my overaged mother (ooooh I think she might kill me now!) doesn't want to go. But we'll see, it'll be fun anyway.

I only have two final exams left.. Sex Roles and Psychopathologies of Childhood.. I had my two criminology courses on the 6th and the 7th of April. I think I didn't do too bad on Crime and Mind (although it's very hard to tell when it's a one-hour essay question) but I found Younf Offenders really hard.. But no time to dwell on it! Plus my average is high enough; I think in Young Offenders even if I get 30 or 40% I'll pass the course..

The weather's getting a bit better now (yay!). Although today is an exception, it's really wet and rainy. But we've had a couple of days of sun and >10C so reason enough for us to go sit outside and enjoy the weather. Result: Roos has pain in the back of her nose (??) and I have a cold.. But it's all good, we had a good time. The shitty thing about nicer weather here is that there are still no little green leaves on the trees, let alone blossoming flowers etc. But a blue clear sky kinda makes up for that..

On April 8th there was a DJ concert at this huge club called the Guvernment/Koolhaus (they like misspelling words here for some reason). It used to be a warehouse, and now they've devided it up into about 5 different amazingly huge clubs. And Junkie XL and Armin van Buuren, both Dutch DJs, were playing there. Of course Team Holland had to be there! First we improvised some martinis in my room together with Ben, Tim, and Tim's sister. Apart from the Blue Collar Martini (Vodka mixed with beer) they turned out to be pretty successful. Sascha discovered her hidden talent and made us Sascha Martinis with Vodka, Exotic Fruit Liqueur, Raspberry Liqueur, Creme de Cacao and apple juice. Needless to say, we were all feeling a little lightheaded after this drinking session. At around midnight we went to the Decadence party. For a party in Toronto, it was really late. Junkie came on at 3:00 AM (which is usually the time other clubs close) and Van Buuren decided to make his appearance half an hour late at 4:30. Compared to other clubs, where you should be in line at around 10:00, 10:30 and where you go home at 2 or 3 o'clock, this was definitely a late night! But it was great! The muscles in my legs were hurting like crazy the next day!

That next day we went out again, although this time not that late. It was this club in Little Italy, where they have dragqueen shows and Latin dancing. The dragqueens were really done up well and they were dancing and lip synching (spelling?) al these different songs. There was also a guy who didn't dress up as a woman and who was dancing around as well. He reminded us a lot of the Dutch "singer" (if you can call him that) Jodi Bernal. Sometimes he randomly picked girls out of the audience to dance with; Roos was victimized as well. The funny thing was that 2 seconds before that she'd offered me $100 to go on to the stage and dance with him! Too bad I didn't have my camera on me, it looked so funny! He flipped Roos into the air and everything. Of course, my legs were hurting even more after this night...

Yesterday it was 4 years ago that Sukrit and I started going out.. I can't believe it's already been that long! To celebrate, we went out for dinner together (we're all about the food). He had nearly forgotten about it! I called him at 6:15 to ask where we should meet, and he told me he was just on the way to his dining hall!!! He said it was 5 non-stop hours of studying that did it... But it was a good night with some good food. Always a nice change from the Macaroni and Cheese Kraft dinners that we are forced to eat because the dining hall is not serving food anymore.. Actually, it's not that bad; once in a while we have some potatoes with chicken and veggies too..

Anywayz, I'm off again.. It's hard to write when you have such big spells in between. It makes forgetting stuff easy.. I'll try to better myself... :) It might be a while though before I write again because I have these exams coming up and my Mom and sis are coming.. But we'll see. Take care everyone!
