That morning I was feeling very sick, so I didn't really enjoy the breakfast. I just had 1/3 banana. We drove to the dogsledding area and were given an elaborate demonstration about how dogsledding works. It's a lot more complicated than you'd think. There are all these commands that you have to use, and you have to steer and break yourself as well. And whenever you go uphill you have to jump off to help out the dogs, which was extremely tiring. During the demonstration this morning all of us were basically falling asleep, but that changed as soon as we arrived at the dog area. You had to go get the dogs yourself and put the harnas on them. This English girl called Sammy and I were sharing a sled. Our dogs, however, were a bit overexcited, and as soon as we gave them the command: "Ready... Let's go!" they just started running like crazy. It was fun, until we had to go off this small hill and the sled fell over. It dragged us over the concrete for a bit, which wasn't very comfortable, and the dogs ran off. Luckily there was someone there who could stop them. So we decided to switch sleds, so that there would be at least one guy on the sled with our hyperactive dogs. I ended up on the front sled with the guide and with very calm dogs. So then it was a lot nicer, at least I could relax!
We sledded for several hours and came back around 3:30 in the afternoon, then we got into the van to go back to Toronto. It's weird to be back now, everything's so loud and you have to get into the studying again. But that's life, can't really avoid it eh?
Talking about school, I got some grades back.. I got a 66% in Young Offenders (the average was 73%), 78% in Crime and Mind (which was totally, completely and utterly unexpected; I have no idea how he came to the conclusion my answer was good..) and 78% in Sex Roles and Behavior. So contrary to my expectations I've still been passing everything. Don't ask me how...
