About the Club
As we the graduates of Brighton High School grow older, the former form of the DDCB will slowly fade away. This site, originally intended to form a connection between friends, seperated by college choices, will now and forever serve as a source for looking back at old times. Some of the informaton is worth updating, but much of the original writings/pictures will be left for future generations to behold. And now, a litle bit about our "CLUB" The DDCB is not meant to be exclusive. Its strongest manifestation is actually the site that you are viewing right now. The site started in room 210 Morgan Hall, Towers Dorms at UConn in fall semester of 2000. While DJ and Andy were having an IM conversation, something to the effect of "Man, we should like make a club or something" was said. DJ registered the site and it has been growing and developing ever since. Its purpose is to entertain people and provide many hours of procrastination. The message board is the most popular section and allows friends living far from eachother to have a common slate to write on. The DDCB is an informal club that has no official meetings and is not registered by any trademarks. We have sponsors for our demolition derby cars and we raise funds through garage sales and donations. Legally, however the funds raised will not be in the name of the club. This means if we spill scaulding coffee on you, you might as well sue McDonalds because we will dissappear into the night so fast your head will spin. In 2000 we entered one car in the Demolition Derby that was part of the Monroe County Fair in Henrietta, NY. In 2001 we entered 2 cars. One figure-8 and one regular derby car. In 2002 we entered 2 cars again. We purchased 4 cars, a Ford Thunderbird, a VW Jetta and 2 Ford Escorts, but ended up running only two of them. In 2003 we acccomplished a 4th place finish, which stands as the DDCB's highest accomplishment. In 2004 the derby aspect of the club began to fade as we fielded only 1 car. A good time was had by all. Our purpose may change, but the spirit lives on.

Our Inspiration: ....Two men of uncompromising grizzledness........ Bob Dobosz: His mechanical knowhow has inspired members of the DDCB to undertake seemingly impossible projects. He would consider it rude to ask a mechanic to change his oil. Rumor has it, none of his cars have ever seen a mechanic.... Geoff Lechner: drives the "Green Machine." He runs the landscaping company and plows in the winter. His tenacious grizzledness has earned him an honorary membership in the DDCB. (also, he got the xt6 out!)
