The Beginning

In the swealtering heat of one july afternoon, in a suburb of Rochester, NY, a young man with a "different" way of thinking purchased a 1979 Cadillac Deville for $340.00.  The car ran rough and it guzzled more gas than 2 school busses.  Within 2 weeks the young man realized that there was only 1 possible option left for his dying road monster.  He went to the County Fairgrounds and paid the 40 dollars to register for the upcoming demoiliton derby.

The next 3 weeks were filled with toil and preperation.  With the help of a few friends, windows, headlights, and seats were all torn from the proud car. The caddy was painted and the doors chained shut. This car was ready for action.

The day of the derby was filled with excitement.  People from all over the Finger Lakes Region were on hand to witness the action.  When it was time for the Caddy to take the stage, its driver, Andreas Jose Marti Lopez, threw down the gas pedal and crushed his opponents.  The trophy belonged to him but the glory belonged to the "CUBAN CADDY"

The DDCB was founded by an ambitious group of young people who know how to have a good time and also have too much time on their hands.  The intellectual discussions held in the LAWN CHAIRS on front lawn of 1247 Winton Rd South has spawned many theories and ideas. None so advanced as the DDCB.
