2005 Demolition Derby
The Terk served Andy well for 6 months.  It delivered 478 Pizzas, Ran 176 red lights and drove an astonishing 24,000 miles.  That comes out to 83 cents per mile.  The intangible value of the Terk caused its economic value to soar into the millions of dollars.
In desperate search of a preparation site, the dwindling remaining members of the DDCB decided upon 80 Runnymede Rd.  To their astonishment, the owners of the house seemed not to mind the extra junker taking up the entire two car garage.  They even overlooked the shards of glass and Cocaufinous noises eminating from their car storage.  "The Terk" was prepared in 3 days, the fastest and most efficient preparation in the history of the DDCB.  A fencepole was used as a door reinforcement.  The car was painted in colorado license plate fashion with a colorado state flag on the hood.  Andrew Mir lived in the garage for the entire 3 day period; sleeping in the drivers seat and sneaking into the kitchen for food when the Osterbergs went to work.  DJ arrived home everyday at 5 and worked until his 9pm bed time.  The Tercel was driven illegally to the Monroe County Fairgorunds
The Tercel competed in the new Enduro race, 1 hour of circling, leading car at the end of 1 hour wins.  The Tercel was good for about 15 minutes and then proceeded to meltdown.  The car exploded into a ball of flames..  Just kidding.  The car just stopped and he got out and went home.  On his way home, Andrew pondered whether or not this was the last time that Brighton residents would represent at the traditionally redneck dominated event.  That question can only be answered by the future youth of Brighton.  The future of derby in Brighton may be uncertain, but the DDCB has its place in Derby history.
