Becoming... A Modder
Now whats a modder you might ask? A modder, or modifier in the Nerf Community, is someone who "upgrades" their Nerf blaster into something better then it already is, with simple tools and hardware.

In this introductary, I will be explaining some basic things to get started to be a modder. In other words, if your new, and don't know anything about modding or how to get started or where to start, then continue reading.

TOOLS:
- Ok, lets start off by laying out some good requirements to mod your gun. A simple tool used for almost ALL modding, is the screw driver (+). This of course, will open up your gun.

- Second, you will need PVC. What is PVC? PVC is that plastic tube used for plumbing and flowing water to your sink and other household areas. Its basically a big tube, and very cheap. With this, you can fix up the barrel to your gun, by replacing it with PVC.

- A saw! Or even better a PVC saw which will help cut your PVC with ease.

- Duct Tape! The most commonly used tool and the best yet! It is used to tape things together such as a peice to a blaster or hold something on. This is highly used in modding and homemades.

- FBR or Caulking Rod, which is used for making sefans. Which are the best and cheapest homemade Nerf dart. Its basically a big long foam dart wrapped like a hose. There is no middle to it, so you can't stick it in all Nerf guns with those "poles" in the barrel.

Ok, now that some of the basic tools are down, now for getting your own little box of things that you could use for making stuff.

MAKE A KIT:
Get a shoe box. This shoe box will contain all the essential tools and part you can use for modding. If you ever have a broken gun and its got loose screws, put them in here! Puts pieces to Nerf guns that are merely for show in here. If you have some ripped up darts, put the suction cups in it! Got some extra spring? Put them in here! Rubber bands, and small pen barrels. Cause who knows, you could come up with stuff by using these items! Use this shoe box to store anything that comes off of your Nerf gun or a toy gun. Keep duct tape in it too! Store items that you think you could use to make a scope later on.

Alright, now thats just getting you started on your way to modding. Now go
mod some nerf blasters!
