The oblivion of love

The oblivion of love
.
My tears fell cold on the deserts of my skin,
and in the smoke of my burnt heaven,
I looked towards you,
a shadow in mid air,
defined by the purity of its breaths,
just where the dream arch,
my rainbow used to be,
hung now in stillness,
the reflection of a wavering soul,
slight breeze threatening to loosen its being,
staring in emptiness my eyes rest,
at the formation of darkness,
in the core of a dreamland,
the transformation of a hope,
so treasured, so cherished,
into a dreaded nightmare,
under the skies of despair,
round the cursed clouds,
raining over the virtuous,
the evil of all the devils.
Heard by me alone in all the clamour
the wilderness and noise,
the sighs and whispers,
of a tarnished angel,
my beloved stranger,
the moisture in my eyes flooding away,
dust from the past,
and the choked sound of my silent screams,
blowing away the veils of endurance,
for a slight stillness my eyelids drop,
cease all the storms,
still all confusions,
and under the hell bound heavens,
I smile to myself,
yet I smile to myself,
I have known, and for once,
I have felt the taste of life,
the oblivion of love.
