Curtains of my burdened eyes

Curtains of my burdened eyes
.
The curtains of my burdened eyes,
dropping to shelter my dreams of you,
the arch rainbow, a gifted hope.
I close my eyes and hold my breath,
in the veil of darkness,
I light the candle of a cherished past,
a treasured remembrance I embrace of you.
Under the moonlit skies,
in the shade of glimmering stars,
under the shadows of a past,
so longlasting, so deeprooted.
We built our little sand castle,
a fortress, a haven,
of all our hopes, all our dreams.
And we never thought,
could never believe,
that we will both live to see,
another day when you and me,
no more will be us and we.
When the morning sun won't bring to me your sunshine,
and the cool breeze won't let me breath your fragrance.
That ever can there be a land,
where I no more will feel your warmth,
your touch, your scent,
around, within and all over me.
