Now for a bit of history......or Why we have a Pug at Dunn's Marsh Labradors!
Erica had been researching getting a dog of her own chosing for over a year. She decided she would like a Pug and started hanging around the Pug ring at shows, and together we met breeders, asked a lot of questions and finally got on some waiting lists. After a loooonnnnggg wait (but good things and properly bred dogs are WORTH the wait) we got an e-mail about a potential Pug puppy for us. All worked out and on May 2nd, 2000 J-K's Velvet Lily arrived. Erica showed Lily in the breed ring until Lily had an eye injury necessitating removal of one eye. She was pointed and would have likely finished her championship had we been able to save her eye.
ADDENDUM And now we have......THREE!! J-K's Ruby Slippers arrived on June 7th, 2003 to join our household. Then a little over a month later we got a call that rescue needed someone to evaluate a 10 year old Pug in our area. We came home with Max only to find out he really is 13 1/2 years old. He stole our hearts in a matter of days so is now a permanent "foster pug"!
