MARIA CONSTANZA LOZANO (Veterinarian, 2000): Maria C. did a toxicological and haematological characterization of waterborne copper exposure in white cachama (Piaractus brachypomus) juveniles. Her undergraduate thesis work was awarded with a meritorious distinction. She is currently working on her masters degree ([email protected]).

LUIS CARLOS PENA (Veterinarian, 2000). Both Luis Carlos and Diana presented their thesis work in waterborne exposure to nitrite in white cachama. Luis Carlos is pursuing his masters degree in fish diseases ([email protected]).

DIANA MILENA OCHOA (Veterinarian, 2000) . Diana is doing private practice in veterinary medicine ([email protected]).

YEHEN ROJAS (Industrial Chemist, 2001): In her thesis work, she used white cachama (Piaractus brachypomus) as a bioindicator of cadmium-polluted waters. Yehen is part of the technical staff of a private company in the animal feed industry ([email protected]).

SERGIO CEBALLOS & OMAR PINZON (Animal scientists, 2001). Sergio and Omar worked in chronic exposure to nitrite in bocachico (Prochilodus magdalenae). Their study focused in effects on production parameters (feed intake, weight gain and feed conversion, among others). Both are currently doing private practice in the animal science field.

ALEJANDRO ULLOA G. (Veterinarian, 1999). Alejandro did his final work for graduation on "Toxic effects of hydrocarbons from crude oil on aquatic life". He is currently working on conservation and marine mammals medicine. Alejandro did his masters in the U.K.

MARCELA SUAREZ M.(Veterinarian, 1999). Marcela worked on " Toxic effects of metals on piscine species".
