Wow. Thats basically all we can say. Here is how the day played out. About a night before Kingswoodstock, I called Mike and said I was sick and he hoped I could make it tomorrow but there was a possibility that I would not be there. They ran the set without Me to see how it sounded and It was okay, but it needed the bass. So the next morning, they went to wolfeboro not knowing if I was going to be there. LUCKLY, I was feeling a lot better in the morning with my temp. down. So I went down to Wolfeboro to meet the rest of Djembe a couple of hours before we went on.I got down there at about 12:30 and they were very excited to see me. Anyway, we watched some other bands before we went on. We were very impressed with some of the other bands performances. So then We go back stage and get our stuff out for the show. We all plug in and then we were off. Playground went smoothly, then My Fair Share went smoothly (except for some mic problems), and then We finished Deer in Headlights Smoothly too. After the 15 minutes were up, we left the stage and talked to eachother and we all agreed that we didnt play as well as we wanted too. Then we all packed into the hot autitorium to see if we won. The anouncer called 3rd...not us. Then 2nd...not us. Then right before he said first, he said, "A Wise Man once said, Save the best for last." We didnt know if this was good for us or bad. But then He did say DJEMBE!!!! and we ran down to the stage to get out prize. We won some recording time at Dizzyland Recording Studio in Rochester. So look for some good quality recordings coming up soon. Peace.
