ABOUT THE SHOW...

JAG, the military term for Judge Advocate General's corps. This section of the Department of the Navy uses Naval and Marine officers trained as lawyers to investigate, defend, and prosecute military crimes.

JAG first aired in September 1995 on NBC, but was later picked up by CBS when it was cancelled after just one season. This long-running Military Drama intrigues and captivates the minds of people around the world with it's combination of
Top Gun-like action and the court room drama from A Few Good Men.

JAG follows the life of Harmon "Harm" Rabb, Jr.
(David James Elliott), a Naval officer who joined the Navy to follow in his father's footsteps as a Naval Aviator. But after suffering a crash while landing his F-14 Tomcat on a carrier, he was diagnosed with night blindness and transferred to the Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps, where he now defends and prosecutes with the same tenacity that made him a top gun in the air. This pilot-turned lawyer-turned pilot-turned lawyer fights for what's best for the Military as well as for the common good.

Harm was originally partenered with Lt. J.G. Meg Austin
(Tracey Needham), an attorney who is skilled with computers and technological advances.. However, Harm now works along side Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie (Catherine Bell), a strong by-the-book Marine who not always agrees with Harm's tactics, but is always there to back her partner up. She shares his desire and curiosity for the truth and will stop at nothing until justice prevails. Sharing the on-going battle of prosecuting and defending the law of the sea, Harm and Mac are joined by their collegues and friends Bud Roberts, Jr. (Patrick Labyorteaux) and Sturgis Turner (Scott Lawrence).

Recently, JAG Headquarters had to grow accustomed to working under a Marine JAG. Though originally being under the command of Rear Admiral Albert Jethro Chegwidden
(John M. Jackson), an ex-Navy SEAL who ran his office as smoothly and as effectively as he could, the lawyers now respond to Major General Gordon "Biff" Cresswell (David Andrews).
