| Re-Released: 2/3/03 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Yes, it is with great pride that I announce officially for all of the Internet to see that my very own DDR Club of RHHS will be hosting the county's very first DDR High School Tournament. When I founded the DDR Club of RHHS, I hoped that somewhere down the road, we would be able to hold a big event like this, and after seeing the club's success and growth since December, I know that something like this CAN be pulled off. As an official message to all the Howard County high school students, if you go to ANY high school in Howard County, Maryland, I invite you to participate in the County's first ever DDR Tournament. I know there are players in the County, and this is the perfect way for all of us to come together and play DDR in competition. I hope to get representation from as many high schools as I can. So if you play DDR and go to a Howard County HS, come on out and show us all what you've got! Andrew C. ~~DJ Drew~~ DDR Club of RHHS Prez |

| The Tournament Round Based on performance in the Qualifying Round, players will be placed into the tournament bracket, and then pairs will face off against each other in a one-on-one, 3 song battle. 1. The player ranked higher will pick the first song. The lower ranked player will pick the second song, and the third song will be chosen using Roulette. 2. The player who did not pick the song for a stage has the choice of which difficulty level the pair will play the song on. For the third song, the difficulty will be randomly determined. NO SPECIAL MODS WILL BE ALLOWED UNTIL THE ELITE EIGHT! 3. Total number of PERFECTS from all 3 songs will be looked at. The player with more PERFECTS will advance to the next round. |

| The Qualifying Round In this round, each player in a division will play the same 3 songs. Players will be ranked based on their number of total PERFECTS from all 3 songs total. If there are a lot of people entered in a division, there may not be a guarantee for everybody advancing on to the Tournament round. That decision will not be made until a few days before the tournament. The Qualifying Songs for each division will not be announced until a week before the tournament date. |
