You made it this far? You must really be bored. My name is Dave and I live in Chesapeake, Virginia. I am 42 years old, 5'10" tall, weigh 175lbs., have brown hair, blue eyes and a moustache. You can see some pics of me by following this link.

I am usually described as down to earth or easy going with a good, if sometimes crazy, sense of humor and have been told I carry myself well. Whatever that means:) Alot of people seem to be throwing the word masculinity around lately. I believe everyone has thier own idea's of what is masculine or good looking so I will leave it up to you to decide how I rate on those two subjects. I consider myself just an average jeans and t-shirt type of guy who is comfortable with who he is as a man.

I work for United Parcel Service hence the UPS1 nickname. Really stretched the old grey cells to come up with that one huh??

I have been single for the last 3 years after a 15 year relationship. I won't go into details here as to why the relationship ended but it definitely wasn't from a lack of trying to save it on my part. If you really want the details ask me after we get to know each other a bit better. While I am not looking to jump right back into another relationship I am definitely relationship oriented.
I guess I am old fashioned in that I believe a relationship should be between two people. Not two people and whoever they manage to pick up along the way. I believe that passion and true love in a relationship is very important. Although I don't think sex is the most important part of a relationship by any means I do believe it is an important part of a healthy one. I think sex should be spontaneous and not limited to only one type of sex. In other words you shouldn't always have to be flat on your back in the bedroom or limited to only jo, only oral, etc.

I am generally attracted to stocky, hairy, blue jean and t-shirt type guys who are as comfortable spending a night at home as they are going out for a night on the town. Guys who want a social life outside of a relationship and who want to keep thier friends and will accept mine as well and aren't into the whole gay, bar or bear scenes. I like men who don't need to try and prove thier masculinity by how many piercings or tattoo's they have or how much leather they wear. Don't get me wrong tattoo's can be very sexy on the right guy but you shouldn't need them to define who you are as a man. You should be comfortable with yourself and who you are as a man and not be afraid to show affection. Muscles are nice as long as you don't have the attitude that seems to go along with them. If you think you are all that, I won't.

I enjoy movies, music, reading, comedy, Calvin and Hobbes, fishing, camping, animals, bowling, raquetball and college basketball to name a few things. Short hair, facial and body hair, good kissers and romance are all major turn ons.

I am originally from Upper Darby , Pennsylvania which is a suburb of Philadelphia. I was born there on October 18th , 1963 and lived there until 1981 at which time we moved to a small town in north central Pennsylvania called Wellsboro. I really enjoyed living in Wellsboro and that entire area of Pennsylvania is incredibly beautiful. Unfortunately the Wellsboro area job market is pretty small and not wanting to spend the rest of my life asking "Do you want fries with that?". I moved to Virginia Beach in 1987 to look for work and have been employed with United Parcel Service since then. About the only nice thing I can say about the company is that they have good benefits. Thier employee relation skills leave alot to be desired however. I have to give them credit though, they have an incredible PR department and do an amazing job of portraying themselves as being truely concerned for thier employees well being whenever they know the camera's are rolling. Luckily we are also members of the Teamsters Union or the company would really get away with murder.

I love animals especially dogs, wolves and dolphins. I have really been heartened by the efforts to reestablish gray wolves in the United States. I only hope that the efforts will continue and that I might one day get a chance to see a wolf in it's natural environment.
Another dream of mine is to get a chance to swim with dolphins. I fell in love with dolphins many years ago when I visited Sea World for the first time. While I would rather not see dolphins in captivity unfortunately for many people it is the only chance they will ever have to interact with these highly intelligent and gentle creatures. Any chance you have to spend time in thier company is time well spent.

I am an avid reader and my taste in books lies mainly in horror and suspense stories. My favorite authors are Stephen King , Dean Koontz , Anne Rice , Thomas Harris and Michael Crichton. I am not much for non fiction and I think the only non fiction book I have read , other than in school , is "Naked Beneath My Clothes" By Rita Rudner.

I also am a big movie buff and like all kinds of movies. Some of my favorites are Alien, Aliens, Dances With Wolves, Schindler's List, The Usual Suspects, Longtime Companion, Tootsie and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. No matter how many times I see either of these last two movies they still make me laugh.
