| Candle Burning Tips | ||||||||||||
| 1) Always trim the wick to 1/8" before burning. 2) For longer lasting candles refrigerate 30 minutes prior to use. *Do Not Freeze* 3) To make candles last even longer burn for 3 hours at a time. 4) Candles can lose scent overtime so keep in closed plastic containers if possible. 5) To keep color from fading keep candles away from direct sunlight. 6) Heat in a car or near a heat vent in a house can warp candles as well as dull scent. 7) Candles are for Burning! Have fun with them, use other objects to help them make a room more exciting or decorated. (for romantic evenings, try rose petals around dark burgundy candles as well as a few actual roses, the roses along with a room softly lit by a beautiful flame can make for an enchanted evening) 8) Candles can be used to lighten any occasion, they are a cheap addition which, used correctly, can be quite effective. |

| - Do not be fooled by cheap candles. Cheaper candles are great for one time only occasions but will lose their scent and color quickly! Also if you plan on burning them they can have 10 times Shorter burning times. They can cause black spurts of smoke as well as continually going out. Cheap candles can cost more than they gain in the end. - A black 'spurting' smoke coming from a candle can either be from a wick not matching the type of wax it is trying to burn, or from not trimming the wick to 1/8" before burning. - Some candles may seem like they have more wax, but if it doesnt burn it then that extra wax is worthless. Remember candles are made to be burned, why waste money on wax that isnt burnt? - A correctly placed candle can accent any room of the house. -Try not to overload rooms with candles, you can have too much of a good thing. - If you do not plan on burning your candle, try to stick to lighter colors and no scent, as the color will fade much less over time, and there is no need for scent in a candle that wont be burned. - If you have already accented your room with scentless candles but you wish to add a subtle scent to the room buy some premium votives to burn, note that the more you burn the more intense the scent. This way you can save your expensive candles from burning but still have that great scent in the room. Also votives can match previous candles in the room so that they can burn in plain sight! -Mantles are a great sight for burning your candles, whether large or small! -In rooms with a ceiling fan, Run the fan on low so that it will circulate your scent, this way the same intensity of smell can be achieved with fewer candles, and those candles can be placed on the same side of the room! |
