It shouldn't surprise you a bit to know that I am a big Jimmy Buffett Fan. I am an official "Parrot Head" What does being a Parrot Head entail? Loving the sand and surf, with the sweet sounds of Jimmy Buffett playing in the backgroud, but most of all enjoying a delicious "Boat Drink". What are "Boat Drinks"... an awesome mixed drink... usually blended with fruit in it. If you are lucky .. you may find a orange slice or a minature umbrella as a garnish. A few things you will need for making awesome Boat Drinks: ~ Ice and More Ice ~Blender.. with sharp blades ~ Long handle spoon ~Assortment of Tropical Fruits/Alcoholic Beverages ~ A Fancy Glass ~Friends To Share Your "Boat Drink" with ~ Shot Glass *for measurements* ~ A Few Tunes by Jimmy Buffett playing in the background. 
Anyone can make great mixed drinks..If you are planning a party and would like a little fun.. Suggest each guest bring with them a bottle of their favorite Liquour and see what you come up with.... Even a bottle of cheap wine can turn into a great mixed drink by just adding it to a huge punch bowl and adding in fruits for flavor. | |

Strawberry Marguarita 1 oz. Tequila 1/2 oz. Triple Sec Splash each: Pureed Strawberries (or fresh), Sour mix, Dash of Grenadine Blend with Crushed ice, Serve in a Sugar frosted Decorative glass, Garnish with a Lime wedge & fresh Strawberry if available Strawberry Daiquiri 1 1/2 oz. Rum Splash each: Pureed Strawberries (or fresh) & Sour Mix Dash of Grenadine Blend with crushed ice Serve in a Poco or decorative glass Garnish with a bit of Whipped cream, a Lime wedge, & fresh Strawberry or Cherry Mai Tai *oooo I love these* 1 1/2 oz. Dark Rum 1/2 oz. each: Orange Curacao & creme de noyaux, lime juice Dash of Grenadine if desired Shake with ice & serve in a Hurricane or decorative glass Or add extra juice & blend with crushed ice for a frozen variation, Garnish with a flag (an orange slice and cherry skewered) Push Up (just like the ice cream) 1 1/4 oz. Vodka Orange Juice Splash of Grenadine Cream Bhake Strain into a cocktail glass or Blend with Ice cream for Frozen variation Mudslide (if you love chocolate.. you will like this) 1 oz. each of: Kahlua, Vodka, Baileys 2 Scoops Ice cream Oreo Cookie Whipped Cream Break up cookie and blend well, Serve in a Large decorative glass, Garnish with Whipped cream Pina Coloda 1 1/4 oz. Rum Splash each of Cream of Coconut & Pineapple juice Shake with ice & serve in a Hurricane or decorative glass Or blend with ice cream for frozen variation Garnish with fresh pineapple wedge &/or a cherry Top with whipped cream if frozen & then garnish Sex On The Beach 1 oz. Vodka 3/4 oz. each: Chambord & Peach Schnapps Splashes of Pineapple, Orange and Cranberry juices Shake with ice & serve in a Collins or decorative glass Fruit Smoothie (non Alcoholic) 1 Scoop of ice 6 oz. Orange Juice 1 Cup of fresh fruit (blue berries, strawberries, melon etc.) 1 Banana Blend until smooth, Serve in a Hurricane glass Bry's Holiday Punch (non Alcoholic) 1 2 Liter Hawiian Punch 1 2 Liter 7-up 1 Can Frozen Orange Juice * no pulp* 1 Can each: Marchino Cherries, Mandarin Oranges *Large Punch Bowl Night before party.. make a cool ice ring with the marchino Cherries and & Madarin Oranges.. Put 1/2 cup of each in a pastic bowl. Use the juice from the cherries and 1/2 cup of water. Put in a shallow plastic bowl and put in freezer. This will keep your punch chilled for the party Depending on how big your punch bowl is.. put in equal parts of the Hawiian Punch and 7-up, add in the canned Orange Juice, then add your fruit ice ring.
