| ����������� The myth of Icarus is that he and his father, Daedulus, were imprisoned in a labyrinth of Daedulus' making.� They were imprisoned because Daedulus revealed the secret of the labyrinth to Ariadne who told Theseus about it to help him slay the Minotaur and escape.� Daedulus, who, "was known for his skill as an architect, sculpture, and inventor, and he produced many works" (Ikarian Enterprises), made wings out of wax and feathers for him and his son.� He warned his son not to fly to high because he would melt his wings, but his son did not listen, he flew high, his wings melted, and he fell to the sea and drowned. |
