As the next song starts to play we see Dawson and Joey having a conversation on the dance floor but we don’t hear any of it. Then we see some of the tables with other people watching them, some people chatting and some people dancing around them. We then see Andie and Pacey standing watching them.

ANDIE: "Look at them, the picture of perfection."

PACEY: "As it always has been, as it always should be. I think I knew that eventually this day would come. Even when I was with Joey."

ANDIE: "Are you saying that you two shouldn’t have been together?"

PACEY: "I don’t know, maybe."

ANDIE: "Pacey..." She reaches over and takes his hand. "I think that things happened the way they did for a reason."

PACEY: "You do?"

ANDIE: "Yes. You made their relationship stronger."

PACEY: "I did! I think that you need to explain that!"

ANDIE: "They had to learn to live without each other for a while, all be it a short while. They’re like each others support system. But eventually it might have driven them mad. Wondering if maybe they where with the right person, if they where in a relationship with each other for the right reasons. You showed Joey different things, you gave her a time without Dawson. A time where she didn’t have to rely on him and only him. You gave her love, allowed her to love someone else. She might not have loved you like she loves him but it’s love all the same."

PACEY: "Let’s continue this on the dance floor."

ANDIE: "Okay."

As Andie and Pacey walk to the dance floor we see other people talking Jack and Ben, and Gale and Mitch. We then see some people dancing, Jen and Drue, Lily and Alex, Bessie and Bodie and of course Dawson and Joey. We see Dawson’s hand move from her hip as he says something to touch her nose. She smiles and then his hand rests on her stomach. The scene then goes back to Andie and Pacey.

Andie and Pacey start to dance.

PACEY: "So you where saying?"

ANDIE: "You gave them the chance to see things differently. And in being with Joey you somehow set in motion his relationship with Gretchen. He was able to think of being with someone other than Joey."

PACEY: "He was with Jen."

ANDIE: "No offense to Jen but that doesn’t count."

PACEY: "It doesn’t, how?"

ANDIE: "He hadn’t realised his feelings for Joey yet or he was trying to hide them, you know all about this part. Anyway Back to Gretchen. Suddenly there where this other set of possibilities, falling for someone else, someone different. What you have done is a pretty powerful thing. They’ve had a chance to love someone else and realised that it’s not for them. That they are at their best when they are together. Only now they cherish what they have more. And so do I. You falling for someone else, it taught you a lot. It taught me a lot. All actions have consequences."

PACEY: "You’re very wise do you know that?"

ANDIE: "I have been told that once or twice."

PACEY: "It showed me how much I loved you. How much I still love you."

Then they kiss.

ANDIE: "I love you too." The camera then pans out to show everyone dancing. Dawson and Joey are in the middle of everyone else kissing as the song ends.

Scene: - Later at the wedding reception. The gang plus Ben and Drue are sitting at a table chatting away.

JEN: "I can’t believe that this is the last time that all of us are going to be together like this for ages."

ANDIE: "We’re gonna be split in two. One half on one coast and the rest on the other."

PACEY: "I know. I don’t think that I ever saw us all getting here."

JACK: "Speak for yourself."

PACEY: "I was and I also meant Drue as well."

DRUE: "You making fun of me Witter?"

PACEY: "Would never dream of it. I just meant that I never expected you to get an invite and that I would never get anywhere past high school."

DRUE: "Oh that’s all right then. Hey do you realise that the only guy at this table that hasn’t kissed the bride is Ben?"

JOEY: "That black eye that I gave you obviously wasn’t enough to make you forget that! I might just have to blacken the other one."

DAWSON: "Joey honey." He takes her hand. "That’s probably not a good idea considering your condition."

JOEY: "Okay." To Drue: "You’re so lucky that I’m pregnant just now otherwise I’d kick your ass, but we’ll just have to finish this in about six months time."

JEN (laughing) : "About that Drue, she’s not the only one."

DRUE: "You mean..."

JACK: "Yes."

ANDIE: "We fair get about don’t we? Well you lot do."

JOEY: "So Dawson, when do I find out where our honeymoon is?"

DAWSON: "When we get to the airport."

JOEY: "It’s a good job that Bessie knows and that she helped me pack because I wouldn’t have packed half the stuff she’s told me to take. At the moment I think that you’re taking me to the Arctic circle or something."

JEN: "I think that you’ll love it Joey."

JOEY: "You know where he’s taking me?"

DAWSON: "They all know. I had to find out if it would be somewhere that you’d like."

JACK: "Hey Joey, feel like dancing with an ex?"

JOEY: "Sure."

ANDIE: "How about it Ben?"

BEN: "Okay."

JEN: "We’re gonna go see grams. Come on Drue."

PACEY: "And then there where two."

DAWSON (laughing) : "Yep and we’re not even the couple."

PACEY (laughs) : "So are you still excited?"

DAWSON: "I think that I’m going to spend the rest of my life excited."

PACEY: "You’re still expecting to waken up in your room and find that this has all just been a dream, that your overactive imagination has played a trick on you. Aren’t you?"

DAWSON: "Yeah, it sometimes just seems too good to be true. Back when we where fifteen and you told me that she was in love with me . . "

PACEY: "You mean when you where in denial?"

Cut to Jack and Joey on the dance floor.

JACK: "You just can’t stop it can you?"

JOEY: "Stop what?"

JACK: "Smiling."

JOEY: "Nope not today. Jack am I dreaming?" JACK: "No you’re not dreaming, this is all pretty much real. It’s kinda funny now that I think about it?" JOEY: "What is?" JACK: "Did I ever tell you the exact moment that I knew that you two would end up getting married?" JOEY: "No you didn’t."

Cut back to Dawson and Pacey.

DAWSON (laughs) : "You’re never gonna let me forget that are you?"

PACEY: "Not this century."

DAWSON: "Well I still didn’t believe it when you told me, but I once thought about what it would be like to have Joey as a girlfriend."

PACEY: "I knew it."

DAWSON: "I only thought it for like five minutes."

PACEY: "And?"

DAWSON: "I just never thought that anything could happen. I mean she was Joey. My best friend. She just seemed so untouchable. I just never thought that I could be one of the guys that she’d think about in that way. But you where right."

PACEY: "Could you say that again because I’m not sure that I heard you right?"

DAWSON: "I’m not repeating it."

PACEY: "You just said I was right." Dawson doesn’t reply. "Wow that’s a scary thought. Me being right. I’ll need to watch what I say from now on."

DAWSON: "So was it the way that you expected it to be?"

Cut back to Joey and Jack.

JACK: "It was way back in high school at that wedding."

JOEY: "You knew back then?"

JACK: "Oh yeah. I’m not sure what made me think that at the time. I just remember thinking that you two would get married. I could just tell. That’s the funny thing, I knew at a wedding that there would be a wedding."

JOEY: "How come you never told me that?"

JACK: "It would have just been too much pressure. The only thing that I never predicted right was how you two got back together."

JOEY: "What did you think would happen?"

JACK: "I just always thought that you’d be out at the movies or something and then you’d eventually kiss or something."

JOEY: "Doesn’t sound very like us."

JACK: "No it doesn’t. That’s why it makes more sense the way it happened. It was more romantic than that."

JOEY: "Maybe you’re losing your touch Jack."

Cut back to Pacey and Dawson.

PACEY: "What?"

DAWSON: "Our wedding."

PACEY: "Our wedding?"

DAWSON: "Mine and Joey’s"

PACEY (laughing) : "Oh, I thought that I’d entered the twilight zone there for a moment."

DAWSON: "So was it?"

PACEY: "Nope. It was even better."

DAWSON: "Hey nice speech by the way. Nothing embarrassing."

PACEY: "You should have heard what I was going to say."

Joey goes over to Dawson and Pacey once she has finished dancing with Jack. Dawson is slightly turned in the seat and doesn’t see Joey’s approach. She puts one hand on the back of his neck and sits on Dawson’s lap.

DAWSON: "Hey Jo, given up dancing?"

JOEY: "Just for a little while."

PACEY: "I’m gonna go get something to drink. Do you two want anything?"

JOEY: "I’ll have some water."

DAWSON: "Nothing thanks."

Pacey walks away.

JOEY: "So are you sick of being married to me yet?"

DAWSON: "Oh yeah. Don’t know how I’m going to cope for the next fifty odd years having to put up with you." He now has his hands around her back. "I’d say the only upside is the fact that you’re carrying my child."

JOEY: "Really? We could always get an annulment you know?"

DAWSON: "What a wonderful idea." Then he whispers in her ear. "But you do know that we’d only just end up getting married again?" She smiles and kisses him. "But only if you wear a garbage bag."

JOEY: "We’ll see."

Just then Pacey comes back with Andie.

PACEY: "Here you go Joey."

JOEY: "Thanks Pace." She takes her drink. "Hey has anyone seen Jen?"

DAWSON: "Yeah, I think that she went to the ‘bar’ with moneybags."

JOEY (smiling as she remembers there conversation years ago) : "Well I’m just gonna go steal your ‘date’ from moneybags then."

Joey gets up and leaves.

ANDIE: "Hey what was that all about?"

DAWSON: "Nothing."

PACEY: "Didn’t think so."
