The Djanogly Community Orchestra was founded in 1989 by Duncan Lloyd
whilst Head of Music at the Djanogly City Technology College.
The orchestras membership was drawn from the college and from the wider community,
thus giving College Students and others the opportunity of playing in an orchestra.
Players of wide age range and experience perform with the orchestra
which provides a platform for emerging musicians, soloists and conductors.
The orchestra gives three concerts a year, including concerts with choral content
Potential members are not required to give a formal audition.
A friendly and relaxed approach to music making is provided,
always striving to achieve the highest artistic standards.
The orchestra is keen to welcome potential new members,
particularly String and Brass Players.
