REMEMBRANCE

The bread was brand new,
The communion cup, too.
How pretty the view
When God’s sun was shining on you.

God’s goodness and grace
Beamed down on your face,
When you took your first taste
Of Christ’s Heavenly embrace.

As you grow in His love
That streams down from above,
As your spread your new wings
Please remember one thing.

Through all of your days,
In all that you do,
Beyond the end of time
This will always be true,
God’s Son will never stop shining on you.
