FRIENDS FOREVER

From up here on this mountain,
I can see your shining light below.
We’ve gone our separate ways now,
But we’ll meet again, I know.

I wish that you could see me now,
And if you could only hear me sing,
With no more tears and no more fear,
I shout praises to our LORD and King.

Though I was here for just a minute,
You made my life less painful.
And though I couldn’t tell you,
You were my earthly angel.

When I was sick,
You took good care of me.
And I won’t forget
That pretty dress you gave me.

You were the wind beneath my broken wings,
But now up here I soar and fly,
And I pray that He might let me be
Your guardian angel from on high.

I can’t wait ‘til we meet again,
Your pretty face for me to see.
I love you and I cherish you,
Friends forever, we shall always be.
