| The Magpie Wife While researching the common folk-rhymes associated with magpies (of which 'one for sorrow, two for joy' is the most familiar), I came across one variant which seemed to tell a tale in its sequence. I created this story and the accompanying pictures during 2004 in the form of a small handbound book. The images are rendered in scratchboard, except the coverleaf (right) which is a vinyl engraving. |
