DJ
Lloyd-Profile: South Africa
Lloyd
started his career by being a bedroom DJ for about six months. Within
a year he had started at ESP being his main residency. For two years
he played at the club as well as Slippery & wet, Nexus, Splash, Club
So, Evolution and many more. Lloyd has also played along side some of
the top international DJs being, Ariel (A9), Mr C (Shamen), Dave Joy,
Lock & Load and Yomanda.
He has also been influenced by some of SA’s best being Dizzy (Dean),
Ricardo, Skye (Anton), Lea and Morgan. His Favourite International DJ
being Ian Carey. Lloyd has a wide range of tunes ranging from the good
old school funky classics to the uplifting tunes that keep the floor
rocking.
Producing his very own tunes has also become a big part of his career.
He is currently still busy with 4 “Phat & Funky” tracks and will be
taken things to next level once finalized.
The ultimate goal for this talented “turntable junkie” is to promote
the up & coming DJs as he feels they are not being recognized. This
country has some of the best talent in the world as witnessed by him
and many more. There is definitely room for growth and it is up to us
to make it happen here in South Africa. He hopes that music production
will give him the chance to help make this all possible.
Lloyd has currently been involved with many spheres of the dance scene
and taking his career to new levels. Next on the decks only started 1
year ago and is making huge waves and is destined to become SA's
leading Dj site. Website address:
