James Bond Theme (Techno Remix)

As I am sure you are aware, Daniel Craig has been named as the next James Bond and starred in the 21st James Bond movie entitled Casino Royale that opened in theatres on Nov. 17th/06 and was released on DVD on March 13th/07. Pierce Brosnan was the previous James bond who made 4 Bond movies with 2002's Die Another Day being his last and the most successful of any previous Bond movie taking in close to $456 million worldwide. The visuals/cinematography and locations in the movie were stunning lending to the movie's appeal and an influence for the design of this webpage.

There are conflicting reports about what happened with Pierce Brosnan as James Bond (the most popular Bond since Sean Connery). Pierce Brosnan says that he quit and wanted to move onto other things not totally feeling comfortable being Bond anymore but would come back if the script & price was right. EON Productions (who own the rights to the James Bond series) claim he was fired for demanding $30 million to return as James Bond and a percentage of the movie's grosses (the combo something never given to any previous Bond actor) bringing the total to around $42 million and stated that they wanted to take the Bond franchise in a totally new direction. Under Pierce Brosnan the James Bond series soared to new heights and popularity even branching out into very successful video games and the theme songs for the movies continuing to be more and more popular getting into the techno and dance genres to keep up with todays music culture and listeners.

So The question arises, why did EON Productions choose Daniel Craig as the new James Bond? He is shorter, a blonde, is personally afraid of heights, doesn't like martinis, sex scenes, boats, too much heat, can't drive a standard (stick shift) car, is bad at poker, lost his two front teeth in his first fight scene during the filming of Casino Royale and will be portraying James Bond as never seen before.. more edgier and hard-assed - more of an assasin than a suave secret agent womanizer. Another question arises, with so much flak and backlash over Daniel Craig being chosen as the new James Bond, WHY ON EARTH did EON Productions already sign Daniel Craig on for another TWO James Bond movies without even seeing how Casino Royale will do in the box office? Do they have that much confidence in him and not wanting him to be another one-timer like George Lazenby? This is also showing to the fans though that they are not listening to what they have to say. Thus in comes websites like this.

The purpose of this website is to suggest to you, the public, the fans and EON Productions 3 new possibilities for who should be the next NEW James Bond, a suggestion for who should be the next James Bond movie opening theme-song singer, to encourage the renting of the 4 Pierce Brosnan James Bond movies (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day) during the run of Casino Royale (and afterwards instead of renting the Casino Royale DVD) as a form of protest to Daniel Craig staring in Casino Royale and to show EON Productions that Pierce Brosnan is still popular and very marketable as James Bond and any extra money it would take to get him back would be quickly made back and to take part in online voting, discussions, an online petition and leaving comments about Daniel Craig as the current James Bond, about Casino Royale now that it has been in the movies and now on DVD and my 3 suggestions for who should be the NEW James Bond after Daniel Craig. The actor should continue to play Bond as a cool, suave secret agent and we must not let EON Productions let the James Bond franchise slip through the cracks!

Of course as of right now all of us would pretty much love to see Pierce Brosnan return as James Bond 007. But if things cannot be arranged for his return then here are my personal 4 picks as to who should be the NEW James Bond which I am suggesting to you, the public, the fans and EON Productions. Of course #1 would be Pierce Brosnan again, the other 3 suggestions derive from the person's looks, accent, birth place, whether they have played a James Bond like character before (like how Pierce Brosnan got noticed by playing Remington Steele) and how good they look in a tuxedo. :-)

My number one suggestion as mentioned above would be to bring back Pierce Brosnan. He previously played a Private Investigator Remington Steele in the TV series Remington Steele before being chosen to play James Bond 4 times after Timothy Dalton. Pierce Brosnan brought the character of James Bond and the movie franchise to new heights and popularity upto Die Another Day in 2002 with it grossing close to $456 million wordlwide and being the highest grossing James Bond movie of all time. He also helped expand the series very successfully into video games for the then next generation consoles such as the Nintendo 64, Nintendo Gamecube, Sony Playstation and Playstation 2 and Microsoft's Xbox rivaling the dollar sales in the games market as seen at the box office.

My number one new suggestion currently would be Charles Shaughnessy who most noteably played Bond-like character Shane Donovan (an ISA Agent) on the NBC soap opera Days Of Our Lives and played in the TV series The Nanny as well as other TV and movie credits. Charles Shaughnessy has the looks, the accent, experience of playing a secret agent and looks good in a tuxedo. :-)

My number two new suggestion would be Alexander Siddig who played Dr. Julian Bashir on Star Trek: DS9. During one episode (Our Man Bashir) in which they pay homage to James Bond and various James Bond characters, Alexander Siddig's character of Dr. Julian Bashir pretty much plays a James Bond like character from a Sean Connery era perspective in a Holodeck program gone wrong. He has the voice/accent for Bond and looking at that episode and how closely he can come to looking like Sean Connery is amazing! He also looks good in a tuxedo! :-) James Bond would come full circle with his chosing.

My third new suggestion to play James Bond is sort of going out on a limb as Robbie Williams is a singer/pop-star but through his video of "Millenium" has shown that he can play a secret-agent type of character. Robbie Williams could take Bond in a new "bad-boy" type of image also that EON Productions seem to be going for but doing it in a sticking-to-Bond-moreso type of manner. He also slightly resembles Sean Connery and looks good in a tuxedo. They also get to kill two birds with one stone as he could also help with the soundtrack as well. :-)

Or if EON Productions really wanted another blonde guy to play James Bond, they could always ask this guy.... :-)

Back to a serious topic.. Speaking of music, EON Productions have also chosen Chris Cornell as the singer of the new James Bond opening song entitled "You Know My Name" for Casino Royale. I have heard the song and I don't like it. It starts off sounding like a James Bond song but quickly loses that appeal. You can find out more information about Chris Cornell and hear "You Know My Name" on Chris Cornell's MySpace Page. I personally think the next James Bond movie opening song was already written! What I mean is that my suggestion below should also be taken into consideration for the next singer of the opening James Bond song for the next James Bond movie! Michael Buble has the voice and with his version of the song "Feeling Good" has shown that he can sing a James-Bond-like song that could be used in an opening movie sequence for a future James Bond movie! Check out the link to his website and watch a part of the video clip of "Feeling Good" or listen to the song on top of the webpage under music.
