My Mission with Endo
For the many years I've been trying to come to terms with this disease and all its troubles.� There have been many nights where I, and many others, have laid in bed at night fighting the pain wondering why I was cursed with this horrible thing.� Over time I have come to feel that there is a reason I was given endometriosis, and that is to help educate others about how this disease affects us all.� Not just the women who suffer, but our loved ones, parents, children, employers, and all others whose lives we touch.� Saying this, I have spent the last several years telling everyone I know about endo.� Afterall, the more that know, the less we are treated like mental cases and the faster a cure can be found.� And that is the goal, right?� To find a cure so that one day our daughters, nieces and other women we love will never have to endure the pain of the beast we call Endometriosis.� Until that day, I will continue fighting this battle one day at a time.�
In many cases of endometriosis, it takes years to get a diagnosis.� My story is no different in that aspect.� Getting a name to my pain was only half the battle, and the next one seems to always be just around the corner.� I have written of my battle with the beast to share my journey.� There are victories and defeats, good days and bad as with all things in life.� Click below to read my story.
Over the years researching endo on the internet for more treatment options, I have come across many different websites that have offered much more than I had hoped to find.� Some offered support and understanding like only fellow sufferers can give.� Others offered insight on the medical aspects of the disease and still others offered information on the alternative therapies available.� I have complied a list of the sites that I have used many times in hopes that they will provide you with the same power to educate yourself in making the right decisions for your body.� I have tried to sort them by the type of site and information offered to ease your searching some.�
A War with Endo wouldn't be complete without its own message board, don't you think?� Hopefully you will find in this board what so many of us need; comfort, support, understanding and loving Endo Sisters to listen to us when we need a good venting session.� Please use this board to help yourself, your loved ones and the others posting here to deal with the daily battle of endo.�
