Religion Before I say anything else, let me first clarify that I am a Unitarian Universalist (UU). If you don't know what that is, you can click here to read about it (a very easy, two-paragraph read). Good. Now. Down to business. I DON'T FUCKING CARE what you believe in. If you are pushing your religion on me, that will only make me hate you more. God does not love you for being an annoying fuck-head. I'm not insulting your religion, so don't insult mine. I respect the fact that you have faith in something. I ask you to respect my faith and leave me alone about it. Another thing that bugs the ever-loving hell out of me is when I'm trying to have a decent debate with somebody over something (religion, sometimes) and they come up with the defense "because the Bible says so." Well guess what? I don't believe in what the Bible has to say and since it can't be proven to be true, I don't want to hear it as a defense mechanism. I expect fact and proof, neither of which "the Bible says so" has to offer. back |
