Bachelor Party: a party given to the groom very close to the day
of the wedding to say goodbye to his bachelorhood
Bachelorette Party: a newer tradition, also a party, but to say
goodbye to the bride's single lifestyle
Blusher: the part of the veil that covers the bride's face
Bomboniere: favors which are passed out to wedding guests as a
keepsake in appreciation of their attendance (Italian)
Boutinierre: a tiny flower arrangement usually worn on the lapel
of a man's jacket (French)

Corsage: an arrangement of flowers worn pinned to the bodice of
a woman's dress

Dowry: the money, goods, or estate, which a woman brings to her
husband in marriage, what a father used to give to the man in return for
marrying his daughter

Fiancé: a man or woman promised to be married

Maid of Honor: an unmarried woman standing up for the bride at
the wedding
Matron of Honor: a married woman who stands up for the bride at
the wedding

"Save the Date" Card: a pre-invitation sent out when
announcing the wedding far in advance, especially useful if the date is
near a special occasion that requires advance planning
Shower: a party given for the bride before the wedding to "shower"
her with gifts for her new household

Toaster Oven: traditional gift given in abundance as a wedding
present
Trousseau: the personal items brought by the bride on the honeymoon
