I was looking at "How To Be Gothic (in less than an hour)" page
and found that it is actually misleading in the facts that were given.
If you want to look eerie, yeah you should wear the stuff you talk about,
but you don't need to be entirely black to look Goth. Another thing: On
Lesson 2, most Goths don't look filled with despair or anything of angst.
If they are, they're usually expressing real emotions they're expiriencing
at the moment, not to look cool in the Gothic scene. Goths are in tune
with their emotions and a reason they tend to wear black is because they
believe darkness is just as important as light. They also believe the
dark isn't evil, which lets them usually wear black more than anything
else. (And it just makes it obvious for other people to point you out,"
HEY, THERE GOES A GOTH!") Goths still smile
and are somewhat socialable, wether it may be with other goths or with
other "normal" people. (I don't like to refer to them as "normal",
but in this case I can't think of another word to put in that place. Don't
take me wrong or anything.)
Goths are usually labeled with comments such as "They bury inside
of themselves when they get mad or sad." "They're always into
sex, drugs, and crimes." Of course, these comments are from those
who have either met a goth into that (which isn't usually the case), or
are simply stereotyping. Actually Goths are more than likely to show their
emotions better than many other people. They try to explore their range
of emotions and thoughts rather than shut everyone out to bury themselves
in anger and hide. When they're happy they show it, and they usually remember
thrilling expiriences, as does everyone else. That's pretty much all I
really wanted to say. The rest of that is pretty good. Yeah I sound annoying
by now or even annoying by the middle of the message, but I just thought
I could suggest you
rethinking on the words you use in those pages. I mean, in some parts
it seemed like you stereotyped what Goths were all about. Sorry, but anyway,
I just thought I should express my opinion and make a suggestion since
you invited viewers to e-mail you. Alright, this is getting long so I'll
shut up now. C'ya later and the rest of the site is really good (from
what
I've seen so far. It's so BIG!)

(Isn't that just funny. I'm a goth "wanna be" and my name is
Spring. Hmm)
