1. Allison Hammond gave an Imagination Library presentation.  Our $300 donation provided books for 10 kids; there are 1500 kids in Allegan receiving books now; 600 are on the waiting list; if we donate more money, more children will get books; Ideas included:  reading month fundraiser (has to go through board committee), donation as a prize for reaching reading month goals (has to go through spending committee), some of Box Tops money ($2107 so far this year) earmarked each year.

2. Mini grants need to be in for April so spending committee can give those our before THIS school year finished; Applications deadline March 28; grants awarded April 14; put form in teacher mail boxes.

3. Applebee’s Night is soon; we get 20%, twice the amount of Wendy’s, but we must present coupon – not allowed to give coupons out at door.

4. Volunteer appreciation date – 5^th grade trip is May 15^th, volunteer appreciation week of Apr 27 through May 3, last day of school is June 11; Tentative date of Tuesday, May 20^th; coordinate with bell choir and science fair again.

5. No movie night in school auditorium – no food or drink is allowed in facility; no popcorn not good for young children and ruins magic of movie night; Horton Hears a Who in March?; Julie Syrek and Kristy Friel will check into it.

6. $50.00 teacher allowances are hard to track; suggestion of a form to list things that teacher’s ask for with a box for where it will come from (such as teacher allowance); perhaps give this to office to track to make it easier on treasurer.

7. New paper cutter – still no word about which brand would be best.

8. Sue Squires mentions that teachers love the 4pm meeting times because they are much easier to attend.
