1. Teacher appreciation week – nylon pullovers last year with Mr. Allard.  This year maybe t-shirts – warm long sleeve ones.

2. 5^th grade t-shirts – navy with white or gold lettering, to be purchased by the PTO.  Cost between $500 and $600.

3. Spending committee – new paper cutter ordered, lower el. playground cement slab for basketball or four square, software for the copy machine approved; still out for approval – mechanical blinds for the cafeteria.

4. Budget items for next year – make t-shirts for 5^th grade a regular budget item; ask Tom Matthews if he needs funding to get rid of the briars on the playgrounds; budget will be published in future newsletter and a meeting set up for anyone who would like to attend with an opinion about the PTO budget.

5. $167 from first Applebee’s night.

6. May 20^th – volunteer appreciation night date.

7. Question about new K schedule next year – there would be all day K for all kids if the school had the budget for an extra teacher; children who need extra help will have all day every day K – regular days with Mrs. Squires and other days at Washington street.  Children will be monitored for progress and placed in the right classes accordingly throughout the year.
