TIPS & TRICKS

HARDWARE

Need bindings for you Hard Wheel board???

First find where your feet are most comfortable. Over the trucks would be the safest; because too much of the rear foot can snap your deck.  Then grab those king-pins and find out how you want them to be set up.  Mark it with a pencil, and then cut about 6-8 in of come-along rope.  Put your foot on the board in your designated places and set the king-pins up; then place the rope on tope and find where you need to put the wholes in the material at.  Remember that king-pins are short and to place your wholes a little farther out that what you marked so that you can twist your feet into the bindings.  After that you can drill the wholes for the king-pins into the deck but be careful not to hit the truck! Finally screw the bolt in the deck (you may want a washer between the bolt and the deck), along with the Do-Dos, then the rope, and last the washer and nut

How about a new found joy out of an old floozy?

If you have a broken mountain board deck then this could help you.  The board needs to be about 25 in long. Drill your wholes for a regular skate truck set (not in the back if that is what you were running  them at first) but do use a square to keep the trucks straight. Buy a set of XT Wheelz  and put it all together.  Get some skyhooks if you want to. Wayne's made a nice little carver!

Tricks

First of all work your legs out so you have more control of the board, if you go to a gym work your abdomen, lats, and back so you can spin quicker with more response. Plus when your legs are stronger you can pump things for more speed, catch bigger air, and definitely jump higher.

Notes: When jumping land on the back first but have weight going onto the front so that if the landing catches you don't suddenly stop and catch yourself jumping/hopping like and idiot.  Have someone around when doing a trick for the first time so that you can say HOLY SMOKES YOU SEE THAT? and incase you wreck and keep them around later while you do this trick because it still takes many times to dial something.
