| This is a book by Michael Ende. It was written in German and has been translated into English by Ralph Manheim. I believe that there is a movie based on the book, but I have not seen it. I read this book in about two days. It has 384 pages. The story begins with Bastian Balthazar Bux, who walks into a bookstore. He sees a book titled The Neverending Story, and Bastian picks it up. He climbs into the empty school attic, and begins to read. He finds and explores Fantastica in this rich and marvelous tale. I found this book quite enjoyable. It would be excellent for a bookshare or school project. There is no foul language or adult themes, and it would be a good read for a child on a reading level of fifth grade or higher. I both enjoyed and recommend this book. |
