WHY YOUNG SOUTHERNERS SHOULD JOIN THE LEAGUE OF THE SOUTH by Dr. Michael Hill, President of The League of the South
The future of young Southerners holds great promise. Our young people in Dixie have a sublime inheritance awaiting them. But in order for them to lay claim to the promise of this inheritance, they must prove themselves willing to fight for it and defend it as a valued and cherished possession. Faith, family, and fortune; honour, loyalty, and place. These are the things that make live worth living. Yet they are the very things that the modern world, with its emphasis on radical, selfish individualism, seems to hate and despise.
If the South of the future is to be a land of peace and prosperity, then our Southern youth must be determined to make it so. The best chance they have of accomplishing this worthy goal is to join themselves together as compatriots in The League of the South. Here, they will become part of a real community with all its shared advantages. They can study and learn of the noble deeds of their ancestors; they can partake of the faith of their fathers; they can establish life-long bonds with other young folk who see the world as they do; and they can learn to become wise, fearless, and honorable leaders of their people.
Should our young folk fall away and desert the land of their forebears, then the South as we have known it will perish. But should they do their duty, then those of us who now labor for the cause in our advancing years can one day lay on their broad shoulders the mantle of our people and of our homeland with supreme confidence. Young Southern warriors, there are dragons to slay 'ere you rest. Come and join our band of brothers and sisters and take your stand in Dixie. |
