| A Few Hours Later: Backstage Lance was nervous. He hoped his plan was work. He kept on hoping that she had the same feelings for him as he did for her. "Hey ya'll, I'm going to say a little something before we sing "God Must Have Spent A Little More Time On You." "What are you going to say?" Justin asked. Lance smiled. "You'll see." Erin sat in the audience waiting for the show to begin. She still couldn't get over what had happenned earlier between Lance and her. She felt embarrassed, and she knew there was no hope of any sort of romance between them. She felt hopeless, and she felt like crying. When the show began, Erin had a hard time looking at Lance. She was so embarrassed, but she couldn't help but look at him before her favorite song. "I want to dedicate this song to a special girl." Lance said nervously. Erin's heart bounced out of her chest. Was it another girl? Lance began to speak again. "I've known her ever since Kindergarten, and we have been the best of friends." Erin gasped. She knew that he was talking about her. "But tonight, I'm starting to realize that my feeling for her are starting to change. I'm starting to realize that I might just love her more than a friend. This song we are about to sing is her favorite, and since it is Valentine's Day, I want to ask her this one question." He looked at her in the crowd. "Erin, will you be my Valentine?" He held out the sameScooby Doo Valentine card he had given her twelve years before. Tears of joy streamed down Erin's face as the song began to play. She ran towards the stage, past the bodyguards, and everyone in her way. She ran up the stage and into Lance's strong arms. He handed her the card, and she just smiled. "Of course I will be your Valentine." She said kissing his lips for the first time in her life. "Your love is like a river, peaceful and deep Your soul is like a secret that I never could keep When I look into your eyes I know that it's true, God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You" When the song ended, the whole audience cheered and applauded. Even the die hard Lance fans cheered at how sweet it was. Erin and Lance looked up at each other, and smiled. Erin looked into his bright green eyes, and they seemed to see right through her. Lance was so happy that she was finally his. "I guess we both have eachother's cooties now." Erin laughed. Lance laughed also. "Guess so." |
