I hate MATH! Alexam screamed as her friend and Erin walked out of the local high school in LaGrange Georgia.
I totally agree with you! Erin and Alexam were both incredibly smart 16 year olds. They had met up in 5th grade when they had both been skipped up to 6th grade. Since then they had been inseparable. The teachers and counselors at the high school felt that they could be placed in as many as the same classes as possible seeing as to the fact that they were both special cases. The only classes they didnt have together were Foreign Language because Alexam took Latin and Erin was on her 5th year of Spanish. Are you comin to the parlor with me?
Well, blonde, lets think ok? Youre the only one out of you and me who can drive so hmmpossible choices. OH, yeah, riding with you! Alexam said sarcastically. Erins mother owned a nearby ice cream parlor and after school the girls would come and work. During off periods, they were able to work on their homework.
Well, quit griping and come on already! Erin said climbing into the driver seat of her moms van. It might have been uncool to many kids but Alexam and Erin didnt care, it was a set of wheels. Alexam reached out and turned the CD player on. Immediately the sweet tunes of *N SYNC came over the speakers.  They sang along all the way to the ice cream parlor.
Hey, whose car is that?! Alexam said pointing to a big fancy to-do car (I dont really care what kind). It was parked there among the others. Its shininess a stranger among the usual vans and pick-up trucks.
I dont know but I do know that we are almost 10 minutes late. Erin replied getting out of the car with her bookbag and purse in tow. She walked in and put her stuff down on the table near the back where Alexam and her often sat to finish their homework. Alexam followed suit only she got out the books and binders she would need and laid them neatly on the table and put her backpack in her seat. Then they both got on their aprons that they had made for them selves that proudly proclaimed Get *N SYNC with ice cream from The Round Da Clock Ice Cream Parlor! They were navy blue with light pink music notes around the collar and down the ties. The other customers shouted their greetings as the girls went to see what orders had not been filled yet.
Who ordered the um Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough two scooper and the Banana Split a la Alexam?? Alexam called.
Umthat would be us. A deep voice came from behind her. Turning around, she found herself staring into the eyes of Lance Bass. Standing next to him was JC Chasez.
Well, I'm Alexam and this is Erin she said for Erin who was still speechless staring at Lance, Shell be making the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Two Scooper and Ill obviously be makin the Banana Split a la Alexam. Whoever ordered the two scooper, please follow Erin, the banana person, please stay here. She nudged Erin and turned to the banana split station. Then she added her special syrup NSYNC onto the banana split. Thats why it was called Banana Split a La Alexam not just Banana Split. Alexam was kind of embarrassed about this fact but hey, an order was an order.
Turning to JC, the one who had ordered the banana split, she said, This is kinda embarrassing, but heres your order
Cute JC said laughing, love the aprons, too, btw. Alexam blushed a deep scarlet and replied, Hey good music deserves to be announced!
Suddenly Erins mom cried out across the room. Girls, your fans await!! Its karaoke time!!!
Oh lordie!! Erin and Alexam cried out at the same time, their southern accents blending together. But, they walked dutifully towards the tiny stage their mother had set up at the front of the store. First song of the night is a request from the audience. Lets take one from..You! Alexam said pointing to a girl sitting near the stage. The girl walked over and whispered something in Alexams ear. Alexam turned to Erin, mouthed the song title and grinned. Almost immediately, the music came on for I Just Wanna Be With You. They sang and bounced around the stage  until it ended. They were embarrassed, but it was the little girls birthday and she had really wanted to hear it.
Next song is a grown-up pick. What would you like to hear, sir? Erin asked a guy siting nearer to the back.
Id like to hear Garth Brooks Do What You Gotta Do he said. Yes! Alexam screamed, Finally someone has a good ear for country!! Erin nodded in silent agreement. They got really into this song making sure even the non-country fans enjoyed the song. Well, Its yalls turn! If one of yall wants to sing with us, calmly make your way to the front, present your request, grab a microphone and get suited up! Erin yelled. She blushed because Lance and JC were the only ones at the front of the stage. Bending down, she said, Request? they responded with Bye Bye Bye. That we can do and do well! She handed them two mics and turned to Alexam. When told the song Alexam grinned and let out a yes! The music started and the four got into the routine positions of the song. All four danced with so much enthusiasm and sang each word with more than a hint of excitement in them.
When the song ended the four bowed and got off the stage to let other customers take their try at singing. Well, that was incredibly fun! Alexam said grabbing her bookbag out of her chair and sitting down at their regular corner at the back of the store. Erin, followed suit and continued to pull out books upon books. Both of the girls were taking the maximum advanced classes they could, and had the homework to prove it. Alexam pulled her agenda and Latin book out of the pile and started working on her homework. It was then that Alexam realized that Lance and JC were still standing there.
UmmGuys, care to join us at the homework table? Alexam asked blushing because of their momentary loss of memory.
