Chapter 2 My name is Michelle. When that cat rubbed against Carlin and we were sent through� that whatever, I was freaked. I had never been that freaked. But now I was even more freaked. We were about to have my incredibly stupid suspicions confirmed by meeting the rest of the Animorph gang. I wasn�t looking forward to what was to happen next. I was glad that at least Katie and Carlin were stuck in this with me. I would be so dramatic without them. I would be like �Oh my god! This is SO scary!� Anyway, as the rest of the Animorphs came in, I felt like laughing. it was so much like a fairy tale. What were all my friends going to think? That is, if I ever saw my friends again. Jake came in and immediately walked up to Katie and started interrogating. Cassie had most likely informed him of Katie leader-like abilities. She wasn�t exactly a leader, but she seemed to make everyone believe her more than anyone else. Trust me, I�d been there. The first thing outta his mouth was, �Who are you?� �We are Katie, Carlin, and Michelle. We are originally from Kentucky, but we are- I mean were visiting Michelle�s aunt.� Katie said not even flinching under Jake�s intense stare. �We�re fans of an extremely popular book series called Animorphs. They�re� Carlin, get out on of the books,� I said. She reached into the book bag that she had been carrying. She pulled out a Jake book and handed it to Jake. �That is an Animorph book,� Katie said. We all stood patiently for Jake to flip through it. I didn�t like the stares that we were getting, especially from Ax, though. After flipping through the book wide-eyed, Jake handed the book back to Carlin as if he were afraid of it. �Okay, that is just plain freaky. I think we need to have a private meeting guys.� We were kicked out of the room. After listening to murmured voices for a very long time we were told that they couldn�t exactly come to a decision yet. �How did we get here, though?� Katie was speaking for all of us. �I mean, this is five years from where we were i n life.� The Animorphs were shocked. <Five years!?> Tobias asked. �It appears so,� Katie said. I glanced over to Ax, who had morphed his human morph. The resemblance of each human Animorph in his morph was bone chilling. <This appears to be the work of the Ellimist, if I�m not mistaken,> Ax said. I thought about it. It was the only logical reason. Well, halfway logical. �So, now exactly what are we going to do? We can�t exactly just start shouting at the Ellimist and assume he will take us back to wherever we came from,� Katie said. I glanced over and noticed that Ax had demorphed into his Andalite form. His two hours had been almost up. That was even more bone chilling. He was like a Centaur, only with this scorpion-like tail� and he�s blue. Plus, he doesn�t have a mouth and his nose is simply three slits. Anyway, the Animorphs decided to have another �group meeting.� �They�re going to discuss us like they did David!� I hissed quietly. Carlin gave me a look meaning to be quiet. She then went back to the intense concentration that she had been doing when the meeting started.
